voluntary wogan is/was me and MXXLXXB (Rail Cables / closedeyesaredancing / Arficeden). We used to jam a bit when we were both living in Manchester. The first time we jammed together was the day that Michael Jackson died. We like to think that his spirit lives on in our music.

We did a couple of gigs. Everything was always improvised. There's something special about live improvisation. Both creator and audience hearing the music for the first time, at the same time. Like crew and passengers building the plane while it is flying.

This audio wasn't from a live performance but from a session in 2019. This 15 minute section really stood out from the rest of the chaotic 2+ hours of audio that I captured that day and is a nice example of when improvisational stuff really clicks together nicely (for me anyway).
